Responsibility
- Lead and optimize US LTL freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Manage a team of logistics coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to minimize costs while maintaining service quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce freight spend and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee claims recovery processes, working with carriers to resolve disputes and recover costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track logistics performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics with business goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in freight logistics, with a focus on US LTL operations.
- Proven track record of managing teams and optimizing logistics processes.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and cultures.
- Experience with claims recovery and dispute resolution is a plus.
