Responsibility
- Design and deliver outdoor education programs tailored to diverse age groups, aligning with safety and learning objectives.
- Lead group activities such as hiking, orienteering, team-building exercises, and environmental workshops.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to risk management protocols and emergency procedures.
- Educate participants on local ecology, sustainability, and Leave No Trace principles.
- Collaborate with the program coordinator to develop curriculum and adapt activities based on group dynamics and weather conditions.
- Maintain and inspect outdoor equipment, ensuring all gear is functional and safe for use.
- Provide first aid and crisis response when necessary, with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Document program outcomes, participant progress, and incident reports as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outdoor education, adventure guiding, or a related field (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Certification in Wilderness First Aid (WFA), First Responder, or equivalent (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of outdoor survival skills, navigation, and environmental science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse groups, including children and adults.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding activities in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with Baliās terrain, climate, and local regulations is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to fostering eco-conscious behaviors.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during programs.
