Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons for students in Grades 7-12, covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and feedback, adapting teaching methods to address individual strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with school curricula and international English standards (e.g., Cambridge, IELTS, or TOEFL preparation).
- Foster a positive, interactive learning environment that encourages student participation, confidence, and critical thinking.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions, ensuring personalized attention and support for each student.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to track academic progress and address any learning challenges.
- Incorporate modern teaching tools, digital resources, and real-world examples to make lessons relevant and stimulating.
- Stay updated on best practices in English language teaching and integrate innovative methodologies into your sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (TEFL/TESOL certification is a plus).
- Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years) in teaching English to high school students or equivalent tutoring experience.
- Strong command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Indonesian school curricula (K-13 or international programs) and standardized English tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL).
- Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping students overcome language barriers and achieve their academic goals.
- Ability to create structured lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and use technology for virtual or hybrid teaching (if applicable).
- Residing in or willing to relocate to Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas).
- Prior experience in home tutoring or private coaching is highly advantageous.
