Responsibility
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage to goods.
- Stack and organize pallets, crates, and other containers in designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting as required.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and adherence to weight limits.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as battery charging and fluid checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a standing/walking position for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
