Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts and operational vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manual inspections.
- Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Replace defective parts, adjust components, and test systems to verify functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Comply with all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize repair tasks based on urgency and impact on production.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics and operators as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery.
- Certification in forklift maintenance or a related technical field is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
