Responsibility
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as UT, MPT, LPT, RT, and VT to detect flaws, cracks, or defects in materials and structures.
- Interpret and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASNT, ISO, API) and company quality control procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and project managers to assess structural integrity and recommend corrective actions.
- Follow strict safety protocols and adhere to occupational health and environmental regulations.
- Document findings, maintain records, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest NDT technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Certification in one or more NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II or III, PCN, ISO 9712) is required.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in NDT inspection, preferably in industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, or manufacturing.
- Proficient in using NDT equipment and interpreting test data accurately.
- Strong understanding of material science, metallurgy, and welding processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Good physical condition to perform fieldwork, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) for reporting and team collaboration.
