Join Bali Ocean Feast, a premier fine dining destination in Bali, as a Food Quality Inspector. As part of our dynamic team, you will work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and management to maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Based in the vibrant heart of Denpasar, this role offers the opportunity to grow in Bali’s thriving hospitality sector, with potential exposure to our other locations in Canggu, Ubud, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, and Badung.
Responsibility
- Inspect all dishes before they leave the kitchen to ensure they match customer orders, meet quality standards, and are presented impeccably.
- Verify compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in accordance with local and international standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to address any discrepancies in food preparation, taste, or presentation.
- Monitor portion sizes and plating consistency to maintain uniformity across all servings.
- Document and report any quality control issues, including ingredient freshness, cooking times, and temperature checks.
- Assist in training kitchen staff on quality standards, food handling, and best practices in fine dining service.
- Conduct regular audits of kitchen operations, storage areas, and food preparation processes.
- Provide feedback to management on areas for improvement in food quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality establishment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and hygiene practices.
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in food presentation and taste.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with kitchen staff and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of orders.
- Certification in food safety or culinary arts is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are advantageous.
