Responsibility

  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes, SOPs, and chef instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, cooking, plating, and cleaning.
  • Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to execute service efficiently during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Support special events, banquets, or catering services as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, hotel, or restaurant (entry-level candidates with culinary training are encouraged to apply).
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and SOPs accurately.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
  • Familiarity with HACCP or other food safety certifications is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
