Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems as needed to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each vehicle.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of fleet assets.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to prioritize repair tasks based on operational needs.
- Train and supervise junior mechanics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in fleet maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate various types of vehicles for testing purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Certification from a recognized automotive or mechanical training program is a plus.
