Responsibility
- Design and develop fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems, in compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and fire safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports for fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system modeling to ensure optimal performance of fire protection systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in fire safety technology and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
- Ensure all designs and installations adhere to regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fire system design, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm.
- Proficiency in CAD software and fire protection design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD).
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local regulations).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Certification in fire protection engineering or related fields is a plus.
