Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain dry etch processes to improve yield, performance, and reliability in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis to identify process improvements and troubleshoot anomalies.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to implement process enhancements and resolve technical challenges.
- Monitor and analyze process data using SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Document process parameters, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for training and compliance.
- Evaluate and integrate new materials, equipment, and technologies to enhance dry etch capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dry etch process engineering within the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience with etch tools (e.g., Lam, TEL, Applied Materials) and process characterization techniques.
- Proficiency in DOE, SPC, and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, including lithography, deposition, and etch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of driving process improvements and yield enhancements.
- Familiarity with ISO, IATF, or other quality management systems is a plus.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across global teams.
