Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly and annual financial statements to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with Philippine tax laws, BIR requirements, SEC filings, and other statutory regulations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and professional growth.
- Monitor project-based costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and identify potential variances.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and implement recommended controls.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and credit control functions to maintain the company’s financial liquidity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new financial policies and accounting software enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- A Professional License (CPA) is highly preferred for this role.
- At least 3-5 years of solid experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
- Proven track record in a supervisory or leadership capacity within an accounting team.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to stakeholders.
