Note: This role involves frequent travel across Bali and potential regional assignments to support our marine and naval clients.
Responsibility
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mtu marine engines and propulsion systems for naval and commercial vessels.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance optimizations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and customers, to deliver seamless service solutions.
- Provide technical training and support to clients and internal teams on marine power systems and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working in marine and naval environments.
- Travel frequently across Bali and the region to support client needs and emergency service requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field service engineering, marine propulsion systems, or naval engineering.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of marine engines, generators, or propulsion systems (experience with mtu engines is a plus).
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and control systems used in marine applications.
- Familiarity with marine industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOLAS, IMO, classification societies).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Valid driverâs license and willingness to travel frequently across Bali and the region.
