Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Develop and implement equipment optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve output quality.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production teams to streamline workflows and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance tests on machinery to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories in compliance with company protocols.
- Recommend and oversee upgrades or modifications to existing systems to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices for equipment handling and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plant engineering, manufacturing support, or equipment maintenance within a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems, automation, and industrial machinery (e.g., CNC, conveyors, packaging equipment).
- Proficient in root cause analysis (RCA) and predictive maintenance techniques to prevent recurring issues.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications in OSHA, ISO, or other relevant safety standards are advantageous.
