As a Field Service Engineer 2, you will gain exposure to cutting-edge wafer fabrication technology, receive comprehensive training on proprietary equipment, and play a pivotal role in maintaining the uptime of our customers' fabrication facilities.
Responsibility
- Perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of complex semiconductor processing equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize system downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and technical support, to resolve escalated field issues.
- Document service activities, maintenance reports, and technical findings in accordance with company protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior engineers and customer technical staff.
- Proactively communicate system status, potential risks, and optimization recommendations to customers.
- Ensure adherence to rigorous safety standards and cleanroom protocols while working on-site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the semiconductor or high-vacuum equipment industry.
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with proficiency in reading electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with robotics, PLC, vacuum systems, or RF (Radio Frequency) power supplies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts or on-call support as required by business operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting software.
