Responsibility
- Review and analyze architectural plans and specifications to prepare accurate material and labor cost estimates.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assessments to gather data for project estimations.
- Develop detailed shop drawings and production details for roofing and insulation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
- Prepare and present cost estimates and proposals to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or materials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, costs, and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role in the construction industry, preferably in roofing or insulation projects.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
