Responsibility
- Perform fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and testing to ensure optimal network performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems, including ODF (Optical Distribution Frame) and patch panels.
- Conduct field inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
- Drive company vehicles to service locations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fiber optic network expansions and upgrades.
- Document all work activities, including test results, repairs, and installations, in compliance with company standards.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for clients and internal teams.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices for handling fiber optic materials and tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Certification in fiber optic splicing (e.g., FOA, CFOT) is a strong advantage.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience in field service driving.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic testing tools (OTDR, power meters, light sources) and network topologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and network diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to handle outdoor work, climbing, and lifting equipment (up to 25 kg).
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays.
