Responsibility
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at checkout counters
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash/credit payments
- Assist customers with inquiries, product locations, and promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours
- Follow company policies on security, loss prevention, and health/safety standards
- Participate in festive season promotions and in-store events as required
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for cash handling and customer interactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts (including weekends/holidays)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the festive season schedule
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Friendly demeanor and a customer-first attitude
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light items (up to 10kg)
