Responsibility
- Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies aligned with market trends and brand objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging fashion trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
- Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, and suppliers to curate product assortments that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through rates to optimize product mix and replenishment strategies.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure product launches are supported by compelling campaigns.
- Monitor industry developments, trade shows, and fashion weeks to stay ahead of trends.
- Prepare and present buying plans, budgets, and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion buying, product development, or retail merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, retail analytics tools, and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Creative mindset with a passion for fashion and an understanding of consumer behavior.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the Southeast Asian market is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for sourcing trips, trade shows, and supplier meetings.
