job description

Join a global engineering leader as a Facilities Officer in the heart of Bali’s most dynamic business hubs—Canggu, Ubud, or Denpasar. This is a unique opportunity to shape world-class workplace environments that drive productivity, safety, and sustainability for a multinational team.

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring seamless functionality of office spaces, equipment, and services. Your expertise will directly impact employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with international standards. Whether it’s maintaining cutting-edge infrastructure, coordinating vendor services, or implementing eco-friendly initiatives, your work will be pivotal in supporting a high-performance culture.

Ideal for proactive problem-solvers with a passion for facility management, logistics, and service excellence, this position offers a competitive salary, professional growth, and the chance to work in Bali’s vibrant, expat-friendly communities.

Responsibility

  • Operational Oversight: Manage and maintain all facility-related systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security, ensuring 100% uptime and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Source, negotiate, and supervise contracts with service providers (cleaning, maintenance, catering, etc.) to ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.
  • Space Optimization: Design and implement workspace layouts that enhance collaboration, efficiency, and employee well-being.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and emergency drills to uphold OSHA and local safety standards.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Lead green programs (waste reduction, energy efficiency) to align with the company’s ESG goals.
  • Budget Control: Monitor facility expenditures, forecast costs, and propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with HR, IT, and senior management to address facility-related needs and escalate issues promptly.
  • Incident Response: Serve as the first point of contact for facility emergencies, coordinating rapid resolution.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 3 years in facilities management, operations, or administration, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with building management systems (BMS), maintenance protocols, and workplace safety standards.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and track facility upgrades or relocations with minimal disruption.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse teams and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure and implement long-term solutions.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), MS Office, and basic CAD tools is a plus.
  • Certifications: Preferred: OSHA, LEED, or IFMA certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Bali’s business infrastructure and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
