Responsibility

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in plant equipment, infrastructure, and utility systems with minimal downtime.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, or upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvements to support Mandai Wildlife Group’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe and functional environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including animal care and visitor services, to address facility-related needs and enhance operational workflows.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a secure workplace for staff, animals, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building management, or a similar role, preferably in a large-scale or conservation-focused environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to perform hands-on tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor or confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy-efficient technologies is a plus.
