Responsibility
- Conduct detailed failure analysis on precision-engineered components to identify root causes of defects.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and data analysis software.
- Document and report findings in clear, concise technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing trends in product failures and recommending process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality policies.
- Maintain and calibrate failure analysis equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and production staff on failure analysis best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in failure analysis, quality control, or a similar role in precision engineering or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using failure analysis tools such as microscopes, spectrometers, and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with CAD software or statistical analysis tools is advantageous.
