Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of F&B servers, hosts, and support staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and guest-centric service during all shifts.
- Oversee daily F&B operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, local regulations).
- Ensure accurate order taking, timely food and beverage delivery, and prompt resolution of guest inquiries or complaints to maintain high satisfaction scores.
- Collaborate with the F&B Manager and kitchen team to coordinate special events, promotions, and menu rollouts, ensuring flawless execution.
- Train and mentor staff on service protocols, upselling techniques, and cultural sensitivity to enhance guest interactions.
- Monitor and maintain restaurant ambiance, including table settings, lighting, and music, to align with the hotelâs brand standards.
- Handle cashiering duties, including billing, POS system management, and end-of-shift reconciliations with accuracy.
- Act as a brand ambassador by embodying the hotelâs values and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or captain role within a 4- or 5-star hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant, preferably in Bali or Southeast Asia.
- Proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced F&B environments, with a focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine pairings, cocktail preparation, and fine dining etiquette.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Russian, Japanese) is a plus.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, colleagues, and vendors from diverse backgrounds.
- Physical stamina to work long hours in a standing position, lift up to 15 kg, and navigate high-pressure situations with composure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
