Responsibility

  • Manage and process financial documentation for export and import transactions, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs requirements, and banking procedures.
  • Coordinate with banks, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth payment settlements and letter of credit (LC) processing.
  • Monitor foreign exchange rates and advise on optimal timing for currency conversions to minimize financial risks.
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports related to export-import activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., logistics, sales, accounting) to align financial processes with operational needs.
  • Resolve discrepancies in trade documentation and payments, proactively addressing issues to avoid delays.
  • Stay updated on changes in trade finance policies, tariffs, and international banking standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or trade finance certification) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in export-import finance, trade compliance, or international banking.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, letters of credit (LC), bills of exchange, and other trade finance instruments.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing regulatory environments.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders, banks, and customs authorities.
