Our client is seeking a highly skilled Explosion Protection Systems Technician to oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of specialized safety equipment across the Southeast Asia region. You will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, from initial assembly and installation to complex troubleshooting and performance testing. You will work in dynamic environments, ensuring that explosion protection measures are not only functional but optimized for peak performance.
Responsibility
- Execute the installation and assembly of explosion-proof systems and instrumentation according to technical blueprints.
- Conduct comprehensive commissioning and functional testing of new systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and rigorous inspections of safety equipment in industrial environments.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical failures, implementing rapid repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Document all service activities, inspections, and maintenance cycles in detailed technical reports.
- Provide technical support and safety training to end-users and on-site maintenance teams.
- Travel across the SEA region as required to provide on-site technical field service support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical field service, specifically within explosion protection, HVAC, or high-risk industrial safety systems.
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical disciplines.
- Deep understanding of IECEx, ATEX, or relevant local industrial safety standards.
- Proven ability to interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on precision and safety-critical work.
- Fluency in English (professional proficiency) is highly desired to support the regional scope.
- Possession of a valid passport and willingness to travel for regional project assignments.
