Responsibility
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for newborns.
- Assist in the delivery of high-risk births and provide immediate postnatal care to stabilize newborns requiring intensive intervention.
- Educate and support parents and families on neonatal care, breastfeeding, and infant development, fostering a compassionate and informative environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment, such as incubators, ventilators, and monitors, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and professional development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile and secure NICU environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license and registration with the relevant Indonesian nursing board (e.g., PPNI).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in neonatal intensive care (NICU) or pediatric nursing.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills in assessing, planning, and implementing care for critically ill newborns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in high-pressure environments.
