Responsibility
- Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently, adhering to restaurant standards and timing expectations.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and resolve any issues with diplomacy and tact.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting tables, clearing plates, and restocking service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately, following proper POS procedures and maintaining financial integrity.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of glassware, cutlery, and tableware.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and team briefings to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting (experience in Bali or international venues is a plus).
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian, Japanese) are highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude and the ability to engage with diverse guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent memory for menu items, specials, and guest preferences to provide personalized service.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays or plates as needed.
- Valid work permit or eligibility to work in Indonesia (for foreign applicants).
