Responsibility
- Operate and monitor wheat intake systems, including unloading, weighing, and transferring wheat to storage silos
- Manage wheat recycling processes to ensure optimal grain quality and minimize waste
- Oversee transfer systems between silos, mills, and processing areas with precision and efficiency
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure continuous operation
- Monitor system performance and report any irregularities or potential issues to maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate records of wheat inventory, transfers, and processing metrics
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely wheat supply for milling operations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grain processing, milling operations, or industrial equipment operation
- Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or related fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Familiarity with silo operations, grain handling systems, or bulk material transfer
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational procedures
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Physical ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when required
