Responsibility
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate Mandarin lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and student needs.
- Deliver high-quality language instruction through interactive and immersive teaching methods, including games, storytelling, and multimedia resources.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and feedback sessions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in speaking Mandarin.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience and integrate cultural elements into lessons.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Stay updated on the latest language teaching methodologies and incorporate innovative techniques to keep lessons dynamic and effective.
- Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development opportunities to grow as an educator.
Qualifications
- Native or fluent Mandarin speaker with excellent pronunciation and language proficiency (HSK Level 5 or above preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent teaching certification).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Mandarin to children or young learners, preferably in a classroom or language school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies for young learners.
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for teaching and cultural exchange.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools (e.g., interactive whiteboards, language apps) is a plus.
- Valid work permit or eligibility to work in Indonesia (preferred but not required for the right candidate).
