Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak hours and special events.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager to avoid shortages.
  • Follow proper food storage and rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Adhere to all kitchen policies, including uniform and grooming standards, punctuality, and teamwork.
  • Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials based on local ingredients and trends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.).
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and portion controls consistently.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), and work in a hot kitchen environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (additional knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus).
