Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders in a timely manner.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support efficient service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak hours and special events.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager to avoid shortages.
- Follow proper food storage and rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Adhere to all kitchen policies, including uniform and grooming standards, punctuality, and teamwork.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials based on local ingredients and trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.).
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and portion controls consistently.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English (additional knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus).
