Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality Filipino-inspired seafood and fast-casual dishes according to Davao Tuna Grill’s recipes and standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens) safely and efficiently to ensure timely food preparation during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage food inventory, minimize waste, and ensure ingredient freshness.
- Assist in plating dishes with attention to presentation, consistency, and portion control.
- Monitor food quality and temperatures to guarantee customer satisfaction and compliance with health standards.
- Support the head chef in developing new menu items or seasonal specials, incorporating local Balinese ingredients where applicable.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant’s culinary standards and workflow.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant, preferably in seafood or Asian cuisine.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments, especially during peak dining hours.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including HACCP and local health regulations in Indonesia.
- Familiarity with Filipino or Southeast Asian cooking techniques and flavors is a plus.
- Basic knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment (grills, deep fryers, steamers, etc.).
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while adding creative touches to enhance dishes.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff and kitchen colleagues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
