Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards for Western, Japanese, and local Indonesian cuisines.
- Assist in food prep, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure efficiency during service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager to prevent disruptions in service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and sushi stations (if applicable).
- Assist in plating and presenting dishes to meet the restaurantâs aesthetic and quality standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and menu development to contribute to the restaurantâs success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Crew Member, Line Cook, or Commis Chef in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Proficiency in preparing Western, Japanese, or local Indonesian dishes (experience with multiple cuisines is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP or similar certification is advantageous).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and cuisines.
