Responsibility
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist in kitchen operations, including food prep, plating, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen supervisor.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
- Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently, following proper usage guidelines.
- Support the team in maintaining a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and providing guidance as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen or F&B environment (experience in Bali or international settings is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with local and international cuisines is an advantage.
- Valid food handling certification or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
