Responsibility
- Oversee all engineering operations, maintenance, and repairs across luxury hospitality properties to ensure 100% operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high-performing department.
- Collaborate with property management to align engineering strategies with guest experience goals and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety, environmental, and building codes, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
- Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement for engineering supplies, equipment, and third-party services.
- Spearhead energy-saving and eco-friendly initiatives to reduce operational costs and enhance the property’s sustainability profile.
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g., power outages, water leaks) with swift, effective solutions to minimize disruption to guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management, with at least 5 years in luxury hospitality or high-end facilities.
- Proven expertise in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation for large-scale properties.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse engineering team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and project management tools.
- Commitment to sustainability, safety, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
