Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality ingredients and dishes according to standardized recipes and guest requests.
- Ensure all food items are fresh, properly stored, and meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Monitor food presentation, taste, and quality to uphold the restaurant’s culinary standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen workspace in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and minimizing food waste.
- Adapt recipes and cooking methods to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests.
- Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal or promotional dishes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook, Chef, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine and familiarity with international culinary techniques.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and work collaboratively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment.
- Fluency in English or Indonesian; additional languages are advantageous.
