Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Prepare and cook Spanish tapas and churros according to authentic recipes and established standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and assist in stock management to ensure freshness and availability.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and specials, bringing creativity to traditional dishes.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all ingredients meet quality standards.
- Support opening and closing kitchen procedures, including equipment setup and cleanup.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a Spanish or international cuisine setting.
- Passion for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow in the culinary arts.
- Basic knowledge of Spanish cuisine, churros, or tapas is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and disciplined attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP or similar certification is a plus).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
