This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $1,800 – $2,000 per month, 5-day workweeks, and office hours for a healthy work-life balance. Responsibility
- Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking Western dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and main courses.
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Manage inventory, including stock rotation, ingredient checks, and assisting with orders to minimize waste.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, fryers, and food processors.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery to customers.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and quality.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu updates, operational improvements, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Cook, or Chef in a Western cafe, restaurant, or similar establishment.
- Basic knowledge of Western cuisine, including breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, and grilled items.
- Familiarity with kitchen hygiene and safety practices (e.g., HACCP, food handling certifications are a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle kitchen tasks such as lifting, chopping, and cleaning.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Experience with kitchen equipment (e.g., grills, ovens, fryers) is highly desirable.
