Responsibility
- Safely operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to load, unload, move, and stack materials in warehouse settings.
- Inspect equipment before and after each shift to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including logging shipments and stock levels.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate material handling tasks and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, such as refueling, recharging batteries, and checking fluid levels.
- Assist in organizing warehouse space to maximize storage capacity and accessibility.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding material handling and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Valid forklift operator certification or license (required).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or material handling is a plus.
