Responsibility
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including surgeries, extractions, and routine check-ups.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required, following safety protocols.
- Provide chairside support to dentists, including passing instruments, mixing materials, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and preventive dental measures.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order stock as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and clinic policies to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Dental Surgery Assistance or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Surgery Assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in dental software and digital radiography systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are advantageous.
