Responsibility
- Assist dentists during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required, following safety guidelines.
- Provide chairside support, including passing instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive dental measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Dental Assisting from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting (preferred but not mandatory for fresh graduates with strong training).
- Proficiency in dental software and digital record-keeping systems.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus.
- Valid certification in radiography (if applicable) and CPR certification.
