Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all menu items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu development, including seasonal specials and innovative dishes.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and make adjustments to improve dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional cooking experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian and international cuisine.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Culinary diploma or certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus).
