Responsibility
- Oversee and manage a specific kitchen station (e.g., saucier, grillardin, pâtissier, or garde manger) with precision and creativity.
- Prepare, cook, and plate high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop seasonal menus and specials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and assist with stock ordering and rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace to uphold kitchen efficiency.
- Handle high-volume service with professionalism, ensuring timely and consistent dish delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-volume, fine-dining, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Proven expertise in a specific culinary station (e.g., sauces, grill, pastry, or cold kitchen).
- Diploma or certification from a recognized culinary school (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, French, or Mandarin) are a plus.
