Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
  • Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal specials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation during peak service hours.
  • Plate dishes with precision and artistic presentation to meet establishment standards.
  • Adhere to food cost controls and minimize waste through proper portioning and storage.
  • Participate in daily pre-service meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or resort.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, with a focus on Mediterranean or Spanish dishes (advantageous).
  • Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Spanish) are a bonus.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for culinary excellence.
