Responsibility
- Record and manage daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Generate and submit government reports, including tax filings and other regulatory compliance documents.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve financial accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
