Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor coffee bean and syrup levels.
- Assist in training new baristas and sharing best practices for coffee preparation and customer service.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new drink ideas or seasonal specials based on customer preferences and trends.
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in promotional events, coffee tastings, or workshops to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista in a high-volume café, hotel, or hospitality setting (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing methods, milk steaming techniques, and latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering consistent, high-quality products.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in coffee making (e.g., SCA) or food safety is advantageous but not required.
