Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and signature drinks, adhering to Baskbear Coffee’s standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive café experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and café area to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate POS systems, handle cash transactions, and manage orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine coffee recipes, contributing to menu innovation.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Upsell additional products, such as pastries or merchandise, to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and café events to foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role within a café or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating POS systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new coffee trends and techniques.
