Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's standards, including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty beverages.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Create visually appealing latte art and presentation for all beverages to enhance the customer experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, new products, and brewing techniques to continuously improve your craft.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role within a high-volume café or coffee shop.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso extraction techniques.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus.
