Responsibility
- Craft Exceptional Coffee: Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, including latte art, pour-overs, and signature beverages, adhering to Sodexo’s standards and guest preferences.
- Customer Engagement: Provide warm, personalized service to guests, offering coffee recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Report any faults to management promptly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Assist in inventory tracking and ordering as needed.
- Hygiene & Compliance: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Assist with training new staff as required.
- Upselling & Promotion: Recommend and promote seasonal specials, coffee pairings, and loyalty programs to enhance guest satisfaction and drive sales.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather guest feedback and suggest improvements to coffee offerings, service, or processes to enhance the overall experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of barista experience in a high-volume café, hotel, or resort setting. Experience with specialty coffee is a plus.
- Coffee Knowledge: Strong understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment. Familiarity with latte art and alternative milk preparation is highly desirable.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a smile.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 10kg, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for consistency in coffee quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian) are a strong advantage.
- Certifications: Food safety or barista certification (e.g., SCA) is a plus but not mandatory.
