Responsibility

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages with precision and creativity, adhering to Kimpton’s standards.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create personalized and memorable experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and surrounding areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies and tracking usage to minimize waste.
  • Support recreational activities and guest services as needed, ensuring safety and satisfaction at all times.
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to uphold Kimpton’s reputation for exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry best practices to continuously elevate the guest experience.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role within hospitality, preferably in a luxury or high-volume setting.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk texturing techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a warm, approachable demeanor and the ability to engage guests positively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the business.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
