Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet organizational goals and cost-saving targets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from requisition to delivery, including purchase orders, invoicing, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align procurement activities with operational needs.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, budgets, and cost analyses to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in an academic or technical institution.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, tender processes, and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail.
